Launch of Raisa Bosich’s “String Figures”\u2014an artist book presentation inspired by one of humanity’s most ancient cultural practices. String figures, often regarded in anthropology as a universal game, have been practiced across diverse cultures worldwide, fueling 20th-century ideas of universal cultural comparison. With a particular focus on the transcultural game known in English as “Cat’s Cradle,” this book offers a visual journey through the intricate and symbolic act of weaving.<\/p>\n

24- hour reading of the homonymous book by Goliarda Sapienza,
were parts<\/span><\/span> of the book were read at different times
of the day, that correspond to times described in the story.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In her book Universita\u2019 di Rebibbia<\/em> (University of Rebibbia), the author Goliarda Sapienza
recounts her time in Rome’s Rebibbia prison, where she was incarcerated following the
theft of a handful of jewelry. She describes the prison as a true “university,” a place of
learning where human dynamics are exposed in their rawest form. Within the prison walls,
she discovers profound values such as solidarity, warmth, and friendship\u00a0
\u00a0– elements she finds more challenging to encounter in the “free” world outside.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
